I'm a Minnesota girl at heart who found home in Steamboat Springs. I originally came here after being recruited to work as a nanny for a local family, and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with this incredible community. Between the mountains, fresh air, outdoor adventures, and strong sense of community, Steamboat is the perfect place to support families and help children thrive.

For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting children and families in many different roles, including Nanny, Household Manager, Personal Assistant, Mental Health Child Counselor, Preschool Teacher, Autism Specialist, Live-In Nanny, Traveling Nanny, and Live-Out Nanny. Those experiences have taught me that every family is unique, and the best support comes from understanding not only what needs to be done, but how each household functions best.

While continuing to work directly with families, I founded Poppins, a nanny and household staffing agency that now serves families across three locations in Minnesota. Building and growing my own business has strengthened my skills in leadership, organization, communication, problem-solving, and managing countless moving pieces at once. Every day I work with families, caregivers, schedules, contracts, and complex logistics, experiences that have made me an even stronger Household Manager and Personal Assistant.

Although I love building my business, I never wanted to step away from the hands-on work that inspired it. Supporting families directly is still my favorite part of what I do. There's something incredibly rewarding about becoming someone a family can truly rely on and knowing I've made their daily life a little easier.

One of the most valuable perspectives I bring is having worked with hundreds of families throughout my career. Through both my hands-on experience and my work operating an agency, I've seen what helps households truly thrive. I naturally enjoy creating order, anticipating needs, solving problems, and developing systems that make everyday life run more smoothly.

Whether I'm managing calendars, coordinating vendors, planning travel, organizing projects, running errands, overseeing a busy household, or caring for children, I take pride in handling the details with professionalism, discretion, and care. I'm naturally proactive and enjoy anticipating needs before they arise, allowing families to spend more time focusing on what matters most.

My background in Psychology and Special Education, along with extensive training in child development, behavior, mindfulness, and family systems, allows me to support children with patience, confidence, and genuine care. I believe children thrive when they're encouraged to explore, create, move their bodies, and feel emotionally safe.
